Grounded was awarded the contract to design and construct additional offices for the MEM team, in addition to a refurbishment of the existing MEM office by transforming and expanding it to a large crib facility. The contract also involved the construction of two new PSI facilities at the Robe Valley Mesa A Mobile Equipment and Maintenance (MEM) area, situated approximately 200km South of Karratha.
Our scope of work included setting up temporary offices, temporary crib and a temporary PSI building for around 40 personnel to utilise throughout the duration of the works. A demolition of the MEM existing offices took place, stripping bare all the wall and ceiling linings, including the floor vinyl. A fully functional kitchen with an engineered stone bench top was installed, along with new furniture to enhance the new crib area. The two new PSI area were equipped with a full height (wall to floor) whiteboard.
A new larger MEM Office was installed to Rio Tinto specifications alongside the refurbished building with connecting covered walkways.
